Development Cycle Complete

Since the first string of code was typed on July 19th 2011, we had a vision for Payroll Connected and the program we wanted it to become. Now, after nearly three years of development, we are pleased to announce that all the features, sections and attributes we wanted to create within Payroll Connected have now been completed with the inclusion of the most recent section of Custom Fields. Though this does not mean that we will stop developing or improving, this is an important milestone for us to stand on as we can now take a moment to step back and examine our three year journey to create Canada’s first and only fully automatic payroll software.

The concept that we started with when making Payroll Connected was to simplify payroll processing by taking all of the established provincial labour standards and Revenue Canada deduction calculations, and combining them into software so that businesses didn’t have to spend hours and hundreds or thousands of dollars processing payroll. Trying to keep the amount of user data processing down to an absolute minimum, we realized that if the schedules are known (that all payrolls start with them in one form or another anyhow), then if designed correctly they could be used as a blueprint for the rest of the software to work from.

Once the Scheduler was created, we then moved onto the data processing. Working closely with Revenue Canada and BC Labour Standards, it did take a long time coding and testing to ensure accuracy, but in the end the result is worth the effort. To the degree even that we believe that Payroll Connected is also Canada’s most accurate payroll software in addition to being one of the easiest to use, and one of the most affordable. Since the initial Beta Release in February 2013, growing this business has been a pleasure and an invaluable learning process as we meet with different businesses, hear their stories and work with them to aide their payroll needs. Thank you all for allowing us into your businesses and showing you how Payroll Connected really is payroll simplified.
